Owen Moon House South Woodstock VT. 1984-90

The Owen Moon House, so named after its last major owner at the turn of the century, was another property that had run-down over the last years of its life and also had, in the 1930's, undergone many changes both to the house and to the gardens.

The house itself was without question the most mutilated part of the property. The library addition to the main house in the 1930's had been one vast architectural blunder, with its bulk and shape throwing the fine old brick house entirely out of balance. See below.
